Meet Charlie
A Custom Prosthetic Leg. A Second Chance to Run, Play & Live.
Meet Charlie, a 3-year-old German Shepherd with a whole lot of heart! Charlie came to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida after a traumatic injury that led to the amputation of his right leg. Life on three legs wasn’t slowing his spirit down, but our team knew we could help him do even more. We designed and built Charlie a custom prosthetic leg made just for him, and seeing him stand tall, walk, and play again has been one of the most rewarding moments for our whole team. Every patient deserves a second chance to move freely, and Charlie is proof that mobility changes everything. Welcome back to life on four legs, buddy! 🐾
From Three Legs to Four
Charlie came to Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida after a traumatic injury that led to the amputation of his right leg.
Life on three legs wasn’t slowing Charlie’s spirit down, but our team knew we could help him do even more.
We designed and built a custom prosthetic leg specifically for Charlie, taking into consideration his size, anatomy, movement, and individual needs.
Then came the moment we were all waiting for.
Charlie stood up.

Watch Charlie Take His First Steps
Seeing Charlie Move Again Says It All.
From standing to walking to playing, Charlie's progress has been incredible to watch.
“Charlie’s case is one I’ll never forget,” says Justin, our clinical manager. “When he took his first steps on that new leg, you could see the confidence come right back into him. That moment is everything. It’s why I do this work. Two legs or four, every patient deserves to move without limits, and knowing we gave Charlie his life back is what drives me to show up every single day.”
